Ducati Panigale V4 bookings have opened for India. The Panigale V4 and V4 S have been launched at an introductory price of 20,53,000 & 25,29,000 (ex-showroom India) with deliveries starting in July 2018. This is the first production Ducati bike that has a four-cylinder engine derived from the MotoGP Desmosedici. This engine has been developed in collaboration with Ducati Corse. The company claims it to be the closest road bike to MotoGP counterpart.

This beast is powered by a Desmosedici Stradale engine, which is a 1.1-litre 90° V4 with Desmodromic timing, delivering a maximum of 214 horses. This makes the Panigale V4 the most powerful bike in the segment. The company claims this is easy to handle thanks to a torque of 128Nm. Use of light weight alloys makes the frame weigh just about 195 kilograms. the Panigale V4 S gets ABS Cornering Bosch Evo, Traction Control Evo, Slide control, Wheelie control, Power Launch and quick shift up and down. There is also brake control Evo and electronic suspension Evo.

All these controls – developed on the track together with official Ducati riders and test riders – are incorporated in the three new Riding Modes (Race, Sport and Street) and can be adjusted via the advanced TFT panel that makes the Panigale V4 the highest-tech bike in the category.

The new Ducati Panigale V4 will be available in two variants; the Panigale V4 – the essence of the new sports bike – and the Panigale V4 S. The latter mounts Öhlins suspension featuring the Smart EC 2.0 system with a new adjustment interface and top-drawer components such as forged aluminium wheels and the lithium ion battery.
