Skoda India will be launching three products by the end of this year. After the New Octavia. The Skoda Octavia RS and the Skoda Kodiaq will follow later in the year. The Monte Carlo is a special edition variant that also is seen on other Skoda cars internationally. The front grille of the Skoda Rapid is like the Octavia and the headlamps are sharp. They even have smoked effect to make it look sporty. The front grille will be glossy black in colour and will look aggressive. A new front bumper and even a redesigned rear bumper are already there on the new Skoda Rapid.
It will additionally get a black roof to make it look sportier. The ORVMs will also be fully black in contrast with the body colour. There is also a black colored spoiler on the boot. The will be a new set of alloy wheels as well. These alloy wheels are of twin-five spoke design and will be offered with a black machined finish, which will look really classy.

The Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo will get all-black interiors. This will make it look very sporty. In addition it will have red accents on the seats. There will be a new sporty steering wheel too, which will have a flat bottom. The leather steering wheel will have red stitching. The red stitching will also extend to the gear lever. Then the Monte Carlo edition will also have aluminium pedals to add more flavour of sportiness to it.
The front row of the Rapid has good enough space for tall people. There is no shortage of leg room or head room. The seats are firm, which makes it comfortable for long drives. The boot size too is large enough for a family weekend trip.
The Skoda Rapid comes with a 1.6-litre petrol engine with which churns out 103bhp of power and 150Nm of torque. It is mated to a five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission.The 1.5-litre diesel in the Rapid has a power of 108bhp and 250Nm of torque. This is mated to a five-speed manual and there is also a seven-speed dual clutch (automatic) transmission.
