The entire Pulsar range has got an upgrade for 2017. This also includes the entry-level Pulsar – the 135LS. The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS now comes with a refreshed look and a BS-IV engine. LS stands for Light Sport, but the Pulsar 135LS has now been repositioned from an entry level sports bike to more of a commuter bike. It gets a price revision as well. 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135 front three quarter

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS has the appearance and the lines just like other Pulsars. This is one good looking bike and gets better in the 2017 edition. It gets new lazer edged graphics that add some flair. This new edition has a new front visor. The visor now is taller and makes the bike look smarter. Customers also find it useful according to Bajaj and get more stowage space The alloy wheels get new red color decals. The engine cover gets a gunmetal colour treatment and makes very appealing.

The instrument cluster remains the same unit as the older model. It is identical to the other Pulsars and has an analogue tachometer and a digital speedometer. The instrument is easy to read and not too complicated. Bajaj have made the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS more of a commuter bike than an entry level performance bike. It now also gets a full rear grab rail instead of a split one, like earlier. The bike also gets a heel shifter for the gear, which makes is easy and comfortable even when wearing formal shoes.

The same 135cc engine continues on the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS. This is a 4 valve DTSi engine that churns out13.6bhp of power at 900rpm. The torque is 11.4Nm at 7500rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.  This is a pretty refined engine and also performs well, thanks to the 4 valve DTSi. The gear ratios are well spaced for mix of city and highway commuting.

The engine is free from vibrations revs well.

The Ride and handling of the 135 is always good and continues to be. Its easy to ride in the city and through tight spaces. The seating posture is upright and seat is comfortable for in city riding. The seat is not split like other Pulsars, but a single piece one.

This is long so is comfortable for the pillion too. The bike weighs 122 kgs so is quite chuckable too.

2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS Price

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS has been repositioned and has got a straight reduction of INR 5000. The bike now costs INR 66,000 (on-road, Delhi). It is aimed at the Hero Glamour which will be coming soon. While being slightly more expensive, it also offers more power than the Glamour.
