Mahindra will be introducing more electric vehicles for the Indian and even European market. The company has been building several new products and the new powertrain will be called as ME Power. Mahindra has just launched the e2O in UK last week and now we will expect the company to launch more electric vehicles soon. The Mahindra Verito electric, Maxximo traveller electric will also be making their way into production for the Indian car market.

The e2O was launched under Mahindra’s ownership of Reva.

Since then, a lot of Reva’s electric technology has been utilised in Mahindra vehicles. The XUV500 is being tested with a hybrid powertrain. Mahindra has been working towards enhancing its market reach not just with powerful diesel engines, but also wants to revolutionise the market with electric and hybrid vehicles.

At the moment, Mahindra is the only automaker that is offering completely electric vehicles in India. Whats more, these are locally built as well. Mahindra Reva is also building an electric vehicle that will just cater to the needs of European car market. This should be launched in a year’s time.
