Tata is on a roll in the Indian market, with its SUV lineup firing on all cylinders. Its SUVs offer almost everything from modern designs to features. However, one thing these SUVs miss out on is off-road capabilities. Tata is often ridiculed for it as earlier the brand was known for it. Harrier EV

Upcoming Tata SUVs

The Harrier EV will become the first newer Tata car to get off-road capabilities. It is expected to come with an all-wheel drive due to its dual motor setup. We also expect a FWD setup on some variants. According to rumours, the Harrier EV could come with a 60kWh battery pack offering up to 500 km of range on the single motor model, while the range can drop to around 400 km on the AWD model. In terms of features, we can expect a 12.3-inch touchscreen system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 9-speaker JBL system with subwoofer and ADAS. The Harrier EV is expected to be launched by the end of 2024 and could start from rs 30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). 

Upcoming Tata SUVs – Sierra

The Sierra nameplate is going to make a grand comeback in the Indian market. It is expected to be based on the Activ.ev platform. Like the Harrier EV, it is expected to come with a dual motor variant giving it AWD capabilities. Lower variants could come with an RWD setup. Additionally, the Sierra is also expected to come with ICE options. It remains to be seen if Tata offers 4×4 capabilities on the ICE version as it is going to do on the EV version. Talking about the Sierra, it is expected to come with a 70kWh battery pack giving it a claimed range of around 500km. The Sierra will feature a large wrap-around glass area reminiscent of the older model. Though it comes with compact dimensions expected to have a roomy and spacious cabin. Tata is expected to offer several seating options to properly utilise the space.
