Toyota Fortuner Launched with Sunroof and ADAS

The Fortuner motors along in the sales chart, but it is often ridiculed for its bland interiors and fewer features. For a Rs 50 lakh car, it missed out on fancy features like a sunroof and ADAS, till now. Yes, Toyota has finally added both these features on the Fortuner and some more. Toyota Fortuner 2024 – New features

Toyota has added a sunroof on the 2024 Fortuner. It has gone a step above, by offering a panoramic sunroof with voice-enabled control. The sunroof was one of the most sought-after features and its addition is only going to propel the sales of Fortuner. Along with the sunroof, Toyota has also added level-2 ADAS on the Fortuner. ADAS features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, and High Beam Assist. 

Other changes

In the exterior, there is no major change on the 2024 Fortuner. As we jump into the interior, the bigger glass area does improve the overall ambience. Toyota should have also changed the infotainment system, but the changed upholstery gives the dashboard a fresh look. Under the hood, the Fortuner continues with a 2.7-litre petrol engine and a 2.8-litre diesel engine. Sadly, Toyota hasn’t offered the rumoured mild-hybrid setup on this updated model.

Toyota Fortuner 2024 – Pricing and variants

Toyota is offering both of these features on the new top-end variant named Legender (SA), with the S standing for sunroof and A standing for ADAS. We a see price hike of Rs 80k over the normal Legender. So, the price of these new variants starts from Rs 53.60 lakh and goes to Rs 58.40 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

According to reports, it has a facelift and new-gen planned. In the new-gen, we could see features like panoramic sunroof, ADAS, ventilated seats, etc as all of them are offered on the Innova Hycross.
