MG Gloster facelift

Upcoming petrol/diesel 7-seaters

MG is expected to update the Gloster with a facelift. The car is being regularly spotted testing. From the spy shots, it seems to be getting a design similar to the LDV 90 sold in Australia. The new design is very aggressive, with an updated grille and LED headlamps. In the interiors, we expect a slightly tweaked design for the interiors as well. MG could use a new colour scheme to make the cabin look fresher. Feature-wise, it is hard to think about any features MG can add. If speculations go right, we can see the new Gloster hit showrooms by the second half of 2024. Talking about the pricing we expect the new Gloster to be priced between Rs 48 lakh to Rs 55 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Toyota Fortuner mild-hybrid

Upcoming petrol/diesel 7-seaters

The Fortuner is due for a facelift change with which Toyota could debut the mild hybrid setup. Toyota has already debuted this system on the Hilux facelift. The Hilux facelift comes with a new mild-hybrid setup on its 2.8-litre diesel engine consisting of an electric motor generator, a small battery pack and a start/stop system. Considering the Fortuner also comes with the same 2.8-litre diesel engine, there is a high chance that this setup could make its way onto the full-size SUV. Apart from that, we can see new exterior and interior designs. Fortuner facelift could be launched in the second half of 2024. Do note that the facelift is different from the next-gen model that is also in the works.

Upcoming petrol/diesel 7-seaters – Hyundai Alcazar facelift

Upcoming petrol/diesel 7-seaters

With the Creta facelift and N-Line launched, it makes sense that the Korean brand also updates the Alcazar. The 7-seater has been spotted testing a few times, revealing a new design. Like the Creta facelift, we can expect a bigger grille with new LED DRLs, LED headlamps, connected tail lamps and new alloys. In the interiors, we expect a dual-screen layout consisting of the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Also, more features like a heads-up display, memory function, ADAS, etc. What about the launch? It is expected to be launched by mid-2024.

New-gen Carnival

Upcoming petrol/diesel 7-seaters

The Carnival is making a comeback in 2024. It has been spotted testing in India a few times, and this is the new model that was recently launched globally. Don’t confuse it with the KA4 concept showcased at the Auto Expo, rather it is the facelifted model of that car. The new Carnival gets an even sharper design with elongated DRLs and a new grille. In the interior, the attention is grabbed by the two 12.3-inch screens – one of the digital instrument cluster and the other of the infotainment system. The new Carnival comes with 4, 7 & 9-seater options. In India, we can expect the 2.2-litre diesel engine that powered the older Carnival. The Carnival is expected to be launched sometime in 2024, and its pricing could reach around the Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh mark (on-road, Mumbai).

Lastly, we have the Bolero Neo Plus, the 9-seater version of the Bolero Neo. It comes with side-facing jump seats in the last row. The practicality and ruggedness can’t be matched by another 7-seater. Mahindra has already launched its ambulance version, and we expect its civilian version soon. On the design front, the Neo Plus is expected to get no changes compared to the ambulance model. Interior would get new features like a 7-inch infotainment, semi-digital instrument cluster, all power windows, etc. Under the hood, it will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine capable of producing 118bhp and 280Nm of torque. Its launch is expected in the next couple of months. We can expect a starting price of Rs 13 lakh and going to Rs 16 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
