On 22nd March 2024, they unveiled the charging stations in the presence of Mr. Gaurav Dayal, Commissioner of Ayodhya, and Mr. Ashwini Pandey, Vice Chairman of the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) at the Collectorate Office MLCP Parking in Ayodhya.

Talking about the charging points, Ayodhya to Lucknow via NH27, Ayodhya to Raebarelli via NH330, Ayodhya to Prayagraj via NH330, and Ayodhya to Gorakhpur via NH27, are some of the major routes where the charging points will be installed. Once the project is over, people visiting Ayodhya will have the sense of relief that they will never fall out of charging stations. They can plan the trips better with the Tata Motors ZConnect app which provides all the information of nearby charging stations.

Tata Power believes that installing the charging stations will encourage pilgrims and tourists visiting the holy city to adopt e-mobility and sustainable transport during their travels. Currently, Tata Power is the leading company when it comes to electric charging station domain, across the state of Uttar Pradesh. In Uttar Pradesh alone, Tata Power has installed 4137 home chargers and 230 public charging stations.
