Toyota Fortuner

Car updates

Yes, you might be surprised to see the Fortuner in this list. No doubt, the Fortuner sells well, but the Fortuner last got a major update in January 2021 when the facelift was launched. The Fortuner does feel rugged and contemporary from the exterior, but it does lack things in the interior. There have been rumours that the Fortuner could get an update this year, but nothing is confirmed. Hopefully, in the update, Toyota will improve the interior and feature list of the Fortuner.

Maruti Ciaz

Maruti seems to have forgotten that a car like Ciaz exists in its lineup. The Ciaz last received an update in 2018, which was 6-years ago. 6-years in the automotive industry is a long time. Generally, cars get generational updates in 6-years, but here Maruti hasn’t even given a facelift to the Ciaz. That is why the sales of Ciaz have dropped below 500. The Ciaz desperately needs an update with a refreshed design and additional features.

Car updates – Mahindra Marazzo

Car updates

The Marazzo was a car which was ahead of its time. Mahindra tried to place it in a sweet spot between the Ertiga and Innova. Still, sadly for Mahindra, it didn’t work out well. The Marazzo hasn’t received any update since its launch in 2018. Currently, Mahindra doesn’t seem to be keen on updating the Marazzo as it is occupied with its Born Electric cars.

Maruti Ignis

Car updates

Another Maruti car on this list is the Ignis. The Ignis last received an update in 2020. So, it has been four years and the Ignis has become highly outdated. Maruti should improve the Ignis to take on the Punch and Exter. It can give the Ignisa a more rugged feel to attract buyers. Maruti could also add more features like 8-inch infotainment, connected car technology, a digital instrument cluster, updated seat contours and more.

Car updates – Hyundai Kona

Car updates

The Kona was launched in India in 2019, and then globally the car received a facelift in 2020. But four years on, Hyundai has refused to bring the facelifted Kona to India. Seems like Hyundai is instead focusing on bringing the Creta Electric later this year. However, had Hyundai reacted earlier the Kona could have got decent enough sales in the Indian market.
