Earlier this week, Hyundai launched the Creta N Line in India. But this is not the only Creta variant expected this year. The South Korean brand is also working on bringing the electric version of the Creta later this year. Ahead of its launch, the Creta EV has been once again spotted testing in South Korea. Let’s talk about the Hyundai Creta EV.

Spy shots

Hyundai Creta EV

The Creta EV is being regularly spotted testing in South Korea and India. In these new spy shots, we can see a car in heavy camouflage. But the overall dimensions and connected DRL design signal that this is the Creta. From the aerodynamic alloy wheels, we get the hint that it is the electric version of the Creta. Also, the grille design seems similar to the Creta N Line with a prominent slop after the connected DRL. Other than that, we can spot the covered ADAS radar and chrome door handles.

What else do we know?

The interior design is expected to get some subtle changes. We could see beige and blue interiors on the Creta EV. It will most likely get the same dashboard design with the same 10.25-inch screens – one for touchscreen and the other for digital instrument cluster. Talking about the specs, the Creta EV is expected to come with a 45kWh battery pack with an expected range of real-life range of around 250-300kms. The electric motors will be borrowed from the internationally sold Hyundai Kona which produces 135bhp and 255Nm of torque.
