Honda is on the rise in the Indian market, with the Elevate, brand recording 10% YoY growth in January. However, Honda knows it needs to bring more products to continue this growth. This year, it plans to update one of its key products, the Amaze. Honda plans to unveil this new generation Amaze with a slew of upgrades in the festive season. New details

New Honda Amaze

The new Amaze is expected to be based on the same platform as the City and the Elevate. It would get some modifications to shorten the length to sub-4m and also reduce the overall wheelbase. With this, Honda will only have one platform in India, helping it with economies of scale. Honda is planning to launch the Amaze in the festive season most probably around Diwali 2024.

What esle to expect?

Though not much is known about the design as of now, being a new generation we can expect a completely new design. Over the years, Honda has made the design of Amaze sharper, and we can expect a continuation of this trend in the new Amaze. We could see a new grille, headlamps, side skirts, new tail lamps, wheel arches, alloy wheels, etc. In the interiors, we expect a new dashboard layout and floating infotainment system. Other added features could include a premium sound system, automatic AC, powered mirrors, leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting, etc. Honda could also give it a sunroof, which will be a segment first. ADAS is quickly becoming a norm, and we could expect it even on the new Amaze.

New Honda Amaze – Specifications

New Honda Amaze

The new Amaze is expected to continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. In its current tune, the engine is capable of producing 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. Maybe Honda could retune it on the new-gen model. With the diesel discontinued, it will be the only engine option on the New Amaze. One thing Honda could try is a CNG option, but that seems to be a far-fetched option.
