2024 Skoda Octavia: Design Changes

Škoda Octavia design

While the car retains its overall design, it features updates on the front and rear end. The most noticeable change is the second-generation LED matrix headlamp with a new DRL design which extends into the grille. Besides the headlamp, the car continues to feature the muscular bonnet and the sharp bumpers from the outgoing model.

While the design sketch does not reveal any details, we expect the new car’s side profile to remain identical to the pre-facelift model. The car will come provided with 17-inch alloy wheels on the Sportback and estate models and 19-inch on the vRS models although with brand new designs. Moving to the rear, we once again get to see the new light signature on the wrap-around LED taillamp.

On the inside, the new Octavia could feature a similar dashboard design as the larger Superb sedan. New bits on the inside could include a larger floating touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, smart dials with haptic feedback for AC control, a fully digital driver display with customisable views, a two-spoke steering wheel, a premium sound system and multicolour ambient lighting among other.

While it is not confirmed, the Octavia will continue to offer the intelligent park assist feature from the outgoing model and add level 2 ADAS to its safety suite.

2024 Skoda Octavia: Powertrain

Presently, the standard models of the Octavia come powered by the 1.5-litre petrol, 2.0-litre diesel and 1.5-litre hybrid engine option, while the more powerful 2.0-litre turbo petrol units are reserved for the RS models. We expect the brand to continue offering the same powertrain option on the new model.

While the larger Super sedan is set to make its way to India, Skoda has not revealed its plans for the Octavia. We expect the new model to launch in India with both the 1.5-litre and the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine option.
