Honda has started dabbling more in the EV space in the last few years. It has revealed several EV concepts and has launched several of them in China. In China, it sells the e:NS2 and e:NP2 in collaboration with Chinese manufacturers Dongfeng and GAC, respectively. Now the brand has unveiled the new generation models of both these electric SUVs. Let’s talk about these Honda electric SUVs.

Details

Last year, at the Shanghai Motor Show Honda showcased three new electric concepts. Now Honda is gearing up to launch two of them as it has filed the details and images of the new SUVs in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Both the SUVs have a lot of similarities with few changes to differentiate them. NS2 for example gets a Sonet facelift-like front design and inverted L-shaped tail lamps. In comparison, the NP2 gets C-shaped DRLs and similarly shaped LED tail lamps. The sloping roofline gives both SUVs a crossover-like design.

Specifications

The Ministry filings reveal the dimensions of both SUVs are pretty identical. Dimension-wise, the wheelbase is 2,735mm, the width is 1,840mm and the height is 1,570mm. Lengths are also identical, but the NP2 is 1mm longer. Powering the SUVs is a single motor that produces 201bhp paired with a 68kWh motor.
