Dimensions

Honda Elevate

Before getting into aesthetics and features, let’s talk about the dimensions of both these SUVs. Talking about the Creta, the SUV measures 4,330mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,635mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 2,610mm and has a ground clearance of 190mm. Whereas the Honda Elevate measures 4,312 mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1650mm in height. Now although the Creta seems marginally longer than the Elevate, it is the Elevate with longer wheelbase at 2650mm. So the extra 40mm of wheelbase will result in more cabin space than Creta. Also, the extra length of the Hyundai Creta does not really translate into larger boot space when compared to the Elevate. To put in numbers, the Creta has a boot space of 433 litres while the Elevate has a boot space of 458 litres.

Hyundai Creta and Honda Elevate, both are boxy style SUVs and offer a strong road presence. However, the approach of both these SUVs is different. The Creta has some sporty and more modern elements to make it look more handsome. Whereas the Honda Elevate is more like a typical SUV with a muscular bonnet and understated design. Both these SUVs get LED Headlamps and LED tail lamps, which are connected on the Creta. Overall, the exterior design is a personal preference as some may like the Creta for its modern design and some may prefer the Elevate for the muscular appearance.

Interior & Features

The difference in design approach continues for the interiors as well. The Hyundai Creta on one side has a more modern and flashy interior with some fancy elements. Whereas the Honda Elevate has simple and easy to eye dashboard design with many practical bits. Both the Creta and the Elevate come with 10.25-inch touchscreen systems but honestly, Creta’s system looks more premium with a better UI than the one on the Elevate.

On the other hand, Honda Elevate comes with features like Level 1 ADAS (camera based), leatherette upholstery, Digital-Analogue Instrument Cluster with 7-Inch MID, lane watch camera, automatic headlamps, 8-speaker sound system, paddle shifters and few more.

Conclusion

New Hyundai Creta vs Honda Elevate

So, which one to buy? Well, the answer is pretty straightforward. Hyundai Creta clearly caters to those buyers who are looking for modern, stylish and feature loaded SUV. Whereas the Honda Elevate is a no nonsense SUV with comfy ride quality and practical cabin. The Elevate is also a feature loaded SUV but the Creta simply outperforms the Honda rival. Even for enthusiasts the Creta could be the perfect choice, thanks to the 1.5-litre TGDi engine the SUV offers. But, the Elevate has one of the refined 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine! Overall, Hyundai Creta has a lot more to offer but Honda’s durability and comparatively affordable pricing.
