The Hyundai Creta is the darling SUV of the Indian audience, and its legend is only expected to grow with the newly launched facelifted model. In the new model, Hyundai has offered everything needed in this segment from ADAS to the digital instrument cluster, you name it & Hyundai offers that on the Creta facelift. However, no car is perfect, and if we nitpick there are some missing things on the Creta compared to the competition. Let’s talk about these missing things.

Heads-up display

Hyundai Creta facelift

Starting off the list with a heads-up display that is offered by several cars in this segment, including its sister car, the Kia Seltos. The HUD is quite a convenient feature that shows information like speed, turn-by-turn navigation, speed limit alerts, and cruise control information without hampering your vision. Hyundai seems to have missed an opportunity by not offering it on the facelifted model.

Hyundai Creta facelift – Turbo petrol manual

Hyundai introduced the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine on the Creta facelift. However, the turbo petrol only comes with a DCT gearbox and only on the top-spec SX(O) variant. All the other cars in this segment that come with turbo petrol offer a manual gearbox option. It seems like Hyundai is reserving its turbo petrol manual for the Upcoming Creta N-Line.

18-inch wheels

The Hyundai Creta comes with 17-inch wheels on the higher variants but misses out on the 18-inch wheels offered on the Seltos X-Line. Though bigger wheels are always better, they offer better handling and look more aesthetically pleasing. There is a possibility that Hyundai could be reserving the 18-inch alloys for the upcoming Creta N-Line like the turbo-petrol manual.

Hybrid

Hyundai Creta facelift

Currently, Hyundai doesn’t have any hybrid cars in its portfolio. Though the facelift getting a hybrid setup was always slim, Hyundai should think about developing a hybrid setup in the future. The success of Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota HyRyder has shown that there is a market for hybrids in India. Hyundai seems to have taken note of this as Kia is working on developing a hybrid engine for the Seltos. Being the sister car of Seltos, we can expect the Creta hybrid also in the future.

Hyundai Creta facelift – AWD

Hyundai Creta facelift

Currently, AWD is not something people spend money on, but offering it as an option would be beneficial. Maruti and Toyota have taken the lead by offering it on the Grand Vitara and Hyryder. Hyundai sells the Creta AWD in Russia. This Creta AWD is based on Hyundai’s SU2r platform. For reference, the India Creta is based on the SU2i platform. So, if Hyundai brings it to India that will be an additional investment. Hyundai will only do that if the demand for AWD increases in the future.
