Tata Nexon facelift design highlights
The facelifted Nexon comes with an all new design language which is heavily inspired by the concept car Tata Curvv. Upfront it gets a new clamshell-like bonnet and completely redesigned front fascia. The headlamp setup is also different and is again inspired by the Curvv. At the top you get LED DRLs which also doubles up as your turn indicators, and below you get housing for the main headlamp setup and fog lamps. Also, for the very first time Tata has equipped the Nexon with all LED lights.
From the side the overall silhouette of the SUV is exactly like the pre-facelift model. It now gets a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels and the alloy wheels itself has a design highlight of the DRL.
The rear is however completely new. Firstly you will notice the connected tail lamps which is now a trend in the car market. Even the rear wiper is now neatly tucked under the redesigned spoiler, a design highlight inspired by the Land Rover! Underneath you get a redesigned bumper and a separate housing for the reflectors. Overall, the new Nexon looks generations ahead.
Interior & Features
The same story continues for the inside. It gets a redesigned dashboard and centre console which has some neat design cues. The dash has various textures on it and some soft touch elements as well. What takes the centre stage is the new 10.25-inch touchscreen which is responsive. It is the same unit which first debuted on Tata Harrier/Safari Red Dark Editions and then on the Nexon EV Max. Other new elements include the all new steering wheel. It is a 2-spoke steering wheel and looks futuristic. The steering wheel has a plastic panel at the centre which displays the Tata logo when the SUV is turned on.
The new Nexon comes loaded with features. To start with, it gets a 10.25 digital instrument cluster, wireless android auto & apple carplay, wireless charging pad, 10.25 infotainment system, 360 degree camera, ventilated seats, sequential turn indicators, JBL surround sound system with 4 speakers 4 tweeters and a subwoofer.
Tata Nexon now comes with 6-airbags as standard, making the already safe car even safer. Other safety features like ESP, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and hill hold control also come as standard. The pre-facelift Nexon was the first Indian car to score 5-star rating at the Global NCAP and even the new Nexon should score the same rating as the chassis is the same as before.
