The Nexon EV facelift gets all the major exterior changes like its ICE variant. We have the eyebrow DRL design, but the EV variant gets a connected DRL design with no blacked-out element on the grille. It gives the car a very clean look. In the side profile, we don’t have any major changes, barring the alloy wheel design. At the rear, we have a connected tail lamp and a reworked tailgate design. The Nexon.EV looks like a mini Curvv.

Tata has changed the naming scheme on the Nexon EV facelift. Now the Prime variant is called the Medium range, and the Max variant is called the long range.

Tata has introduced its Gen-2 motor which is lighter and more compact. It comes with several new things like 4 stages of liquid-pumped operation and, a velocity-based fan speed strategy. Not going to bore you with the terms, but they do have a lot of benefits. For starters, the range on the Nexon EV has increased. The medium range comes with a claimed range of 325km, while the Long range comes with a claimed range of 465km. Tata has also stated that real-world range has improved significantly.

Going further, with this new motor the Nexon.ev can do the 0-100kmph sprint in just 8.9 seconds. It also gets a higher top speed of 150kmph. Tata has also worked on improving the regen modes by 10-15%. There are four regen modes that can be easily changed with the paddle shifters.

As for the numbers, the Medium range comes with an output of 125bhp and 215Nm of torque. While the Long range comes with an output of 141bhp and 215Nm of torque.

Another major new addition is the vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging and vehicle-to-load (V2L). This makes the Nexon.ev the cheapest EV to offer these features in India.
