2024 Maruti Swift – 3 things to expect
Maruti is on the SUV offensive, with new products like the Fronx, Jimny Grand Vitara etc. Still, Maruti’s major sales come from its affordable hatchbacks. One of them is the Maruti Swift. The Swift comes in a handful of cars, which Maruti is yet to update. However, worry not, Maruti has got that covered with the car being tested in Europe. The new Swift is going to come with three major changes. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Maruti Swift.
New design
As stated above, the new Swift has been spotted testing in Europe. From the spy shots, it is getting a more mature exterior design. We could get new headlamps and bumpers in the new Swift. The bonnet has a sleeker and more flat outlook. In the side profile, we could see new alloy wheels and door-mounted handles rather than the C-pillar mounted on the current model. At the rear, we could maybe see a connected tail lamp design, which is becoming the trend in the current times.
Hybrid
The new Swift is almost certain to come with a strong hybrid setup. It will come with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with Toyota’s strong hybrid setup. Unlike the current 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, this new engine will be a three-cylinder unit and not a four-cylinder one. This hybrid setup could give the Swift a mind-boggling mileage of 35-40kmpl. The new Swift will also continue to come with the current 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG option. Maruti and Toyota are heavily localising to bridge the gap between non-hybrid and hybrid variants of the Swift and Dzire.
2024 Maruti Swift – Plethora of new features
Maruti has figured out that features are the way forward in the Indian market. In the new-gen Swift, we could see features like a new 9.0-inch SmarPlay Pro+ infotainment system. This system could come with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include an improved connected car, wireless charging, 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera etc.
