Last year, Mahindra showcased its Born Electric cars to the world. These cars which will be built on a ground-up EV platform will pioneer new limits for the homegrown automaker. Now Mahindra has revealed more information about its upcoming Born Electric cars. In today’s articles, let’s talk about all the new details of Mahindra’s Born Electric plan.

Mahindra is working on a modular platform that can accommodate various cars based on various lengths ranging from 4368mm to 4735mm. The brand claims this is the lightest 7-seater skateboard platform. Mahindra has not cut corners on safety, with the brand claiming it can ace Euro NCAP, GNCAP and the upcoming Bharat NCAP. All its upcoming Born Electric cars will come with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive capabilities. The INGLO platform will also be used to make other Mahindra EVs like the Thar.e, Scorpio.e and Bolero.e.

Mahindra has made its name in the performance aspect and it wants to continue this in the electric space. The front powertrain comes with an 80kW motor with 135Nm of torque. The rear powertrain comes with a 210kW motor with 535Nm of torque. We also have another rear powertrain that is a 170kW motor with 380Nm of torque.
