Tata Nexon facelift sunroof spotted! Bigger or the same?

The Nexon is Tata’s bread & butter model, and it shows in the sales figures. Month after month, the car has stamped its authority on the Indian market. Now Tata wants to take it to the next level by bringing its facelift. As you know, we have been covering all the details of the facelift. Now a top-down shot of the car is giving us more information. The spy shots were sent to us by one of our readers, Sashikant. In this, we get the top-down shot of the Nexon facelift with the Safari facelift. We can see the sunroof cutout, which seems similar to the current model Tata Nexon. Overall, the facelift looks quite sporty at the front end. Tata seems to have made the design quite proportionate. Other spotted things include the bonnet-wide DRL design. We also see the new position of the rear wiper. It now gets placed under the spoiler. 

Specifications & features

The Nexon should continue with the current 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine could come with a new DCA gearbox solving the biggest weakness of the Nexon. There are some rumours that we could see the new 1.2-litre turbo on the Nexon facelift. However, it seems a bit too powerful for the Nexon. Still, let’s see what Tata has in store for us.

According to several reports, Tata plans to launch the Nexon facelift in August. Our sources have also stated similar things, so let’s wait & see. The Nexon facelift looks like an interesting proposition with all new designs and features. What about the price hike? The Nexon facelift could get a major hike, due to the new design and features.
