Maruti Ciaz AT to come in ZXi+ trim

With the demand for automatic cars on the rise, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch the Maruti Ciaz ZXi+ with an automatic transmission.

Currently the Maruti Ciaz has an automatic transmission only in the ZXi variant. The ZXi+ variant is the top-of-the-line variant in the Ciaz and is additionally gets 195/55-R16 tyres, trunk lid chrome garnish, door beltline garnish, chrome coloured door handles, leather seat upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel, and Smartplay infotainment system with touchscreen display, navigation system and voice command feature.

The ZXi+ Ciaz is powered by the same 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 91bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The AT variant is a four-speed automatic transmission and returns 19.12 km/l. The five-speed manual gearbox version delivers an ARAI-certified mileage of 20.73 km/l. ZXi+ variant will get the same four-speed AT and there would not be any difference in the mileage as well. Maruti will look at fulfilling the needs of customers who want all the bells and whistles in their car.
