Rs 9 lakh Mahindra SUV to disrupt the market?
Mahindra has rapidly modernised its lineup with new SUVs. However, in all this frenzy, it is yet to update a car that needs it more than ever. Which car are we talking about? It is the XUV300. The XUV300 is falling behind in the compact-SUV segment. Mahindra has commenced testing of the XUV300 facelift. So what can we expect in the XUV300 facelift? In today’s article, let’s talk about Mahindra XUV300 2023.
New design
The Mahindra XUV300 facelift has been spotted a few times in testing. Though in heavy camouflage, we could see a new front design. Mahindra seems to be giving it circular headlamps. Other changes could be a sculpted bonnet and an upright grille. The side profile will continue with the Mahindra DNA. At the rear, we can expect a new tail lamp design and roof spoiler.
Mahindra XUV300 2023 – Interior
Mahindra has its work cut out in the interior aspect. The interiors are currently the biggest weakness of the XUV300, and Mahindra will need to address that in the facelift. We can expect an updated dashboard layout, maybe a floating infotainment system to update the look. Also, we can expect new features like wireless charging, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting and a premium sound system.
Specifications
Considering this a facelift, we don’t expect Mahindra to tweak the specifications. We can expect it to continue with the 1.2-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre turbo TGDI and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Mahindra should look to give the XUV300 facelift a proper automatic and not the AMT gearbox.
Mahindra XUV300 2023 – Launch
The XUV300 facelift is back in the news with a couple of spy shots per month. However, Mahindra is yet to give a proper launch timeline for the facelift. Considering the spy shots, we think the launch is still a while away. So when can we expect the launch? Mahindra could launch the XUV300 facelift by the end of this year or early next year.
