The Indian market is a fast-paced environment. Here products quickly get outdated, and people quickly forget about them. So manufacturers have devised a new technique for bringing special variants. Tata does that, and Skoda also has a long history with its Monte Carlo editions. The Kushaq already comes with, and now the Slavia could also get it. In Today’s article, let’s talk about the Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo 2023.

Premium variant?

Slavia Monte Carlo 2023

The Monte Carlo edition showcases the brand’s heritage in Europe. All its cars get this special variant sometime in their life cycle. The Rapid had it, and considering the Slavia is its spiritual successor, we can also expect a Slavia Monte Carlo edition. Also, currently, Slavia doesn’t get a sporty trim like the Virtus GT and the ‘Monte Carlo’ could just fill in this gap.

Slavia Monte Carlo 2023 – Expected changes?

Slavia Monte Carlo 2023

Skoda could follow the same Monte Carlo template of Kushaq on Slavia. We could see a Monte Carlo-inspired front grille, blacked-out ORVMs, door handles, red-brake callipers and Monte Carlo badging. In the interiors, we could see an all-black theme with red inserts. In terms of features, Skoda could give it red ambient lighting. Other than that, we could see a 10-inch infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster etc.

Engine specifications

The Monte Carlo edition could be offered on both the 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Skoda does the same thing on the Kushaq Monte Carlo edition. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol will come with manual and AT, while the bigger engine will come with manual and DSG options. So the Slavia Monte Carlo will offer a lot of variety to buyers.

Slavia Monte Carlo 2023 – Launch

Slavia Monte Carlo 2023

Last year, Skoda’s new director for sales and marketing, Petr Solc, confirmed that the brand will launch the Slavia Monte Carlo in 2023. It was expected in the first half of 2023, but now we think an end-of-2023 timeline is more feasible. Pricing-wise, the Monte Carlo edition could command a premium of Rs 50,000 due to the cosmetic changes. The Monte Carlo edition will offer that uniqueness to prospective buyers.
