Tata Harrier facelift could miss on these things!

Tata’s SUV lineup is on a meteoric rise in the market. Its cars like the Punch and Nexon are bringing the maximum number. However, a lot of credit for their success also goes to the Harrier. With the Harrier, Tata showed its capabilities to the customers. Now, Tata is working on the facelifted model. This model is expected to get a new design and several new features. However, it could miss these three things. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Tata Harrier new model. 

Tata Harrier EV to get a popular thing!

Petrol engine

Tata showcased its new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine at the Auto Expo of 2023. This engine is capable of producing 167bhp and 280Nm of torque. Many had predicted that this engine would make its way on the Harrier facelift. However, recent reports have stated that Tata plans to debut this engine on the Curvv. So it seems unlikely that the engine will make its way on the facelift at launch. Maybe Tata could launch the petrol engine later on in its cycle. 

Electric tailgate

Cars are constantly improving, offering as much convenience as possible. Manufacturers are adding features that make the daily life of their customers better. One such feature is the electronic tailgate. It can be a lifesaver if you are handling a lot of luggage. In this segment, the MG Hector comes with a powered tailgate. But we don’t think the Harrier will be getting the electronic tailgate. 

Tata Harrier new model – All-wheel drive

It is quite an ambitious thought that Tata will add AWD capabilities to the Harrier. The Harrier and Safari duo is often criticised for their no off-road tech. Still, Tata has clearly stated that it doesn’t plan on bringing AWD or 4×4 on Harrier. So we don’t expect it to make its way on the Harrier facelift. However, there is also a silver lining, the upcoming Harrier EV is expected to come with AWD capabilities. On EVs, it is easier as you do that by adding extra motors.
