Maruti cars generally sell like hotcakes due to their vast dealership network and reliability. Rarely does it happen that a Maruti car struggles to bring in sales. But still, there are some exceptions, like the Ciaz. The Ciaz ones used to sell in decent numbers, but now it has just become a shadow of its past shelf. So what is Maruti doing with the Ciaz? In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2024 Maruti Ciaz.

Maruti’s plan

2024 Maruti Ciaz

The Ciaz last got an update in 2018, which is five years from now. 5-years in the auto industry is a long time. Generally, cars get generational updates in 5 to 6 years. So why is Maruti not updating the Ciaz? It’s complex to answer, but the main reason could be the fading demand for sedans. Maruti doesn’t find it worth updating the Ciaz with its low sales. Still, Maruti should look at the bigger picture with the updated Verna & City and also the Slavia & Virtus.

What are your thoughts? Should Maruti update the Ciaz in 2024? Do let us know in the comments.

What could change?

If Maruti does plan to bring the Ciaz facelift, it will need to update the exterior design. The Ciaz is not a bad-looking car, but it needs some design refresh. So in the facelift, Maruti could change the headlamps and tweak the bumpers. In the interiors, Maruti will need to change the upholstery and also add a lot of new features.

2024 Maruti Ciaz – When to expect?

As stated above, there is nothing official from Maruti regarding the Ciaz facelift. Maruti has updated all of its cars in the last few years. Some cars like the Swift and Dzire are also soon going to get their updates. Hopefully, Maruti will need to update the Ciaz sometime in 2024. If it doesn’t update the Ciaz, the sedan could be heading towards discontinuation.
