Skoda has had a good last few years due to its ‘India Project 2.0’. The first car under this project was the Kushaq. The Kushaq has done decently well for the brand. To tap into this growth, Skoda launched a new edition of the Kushaq. It was a limited-time edition, and now the brand has discontinued it. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Skoda Kushaq Edition.

The Kushaq Lava Blue edition was launched alongside the Slavia anniversary edition earlier this year. Now the brand seems to have discontinued this variant, as it is no longer available on the brand’s website. The Lava Blue edition came with the Lava Blue colour earlier offered on the Kodiaq and Superb. Other changes include a Special badge, puddle lamps, additional chrome trim, plus editions cushions and scuff plates. The Kushaq Lava Blue edition was only available with the 1.5-litre petrol engine capable of producing 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission options included a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG.

Skoda Kushaq edition – Skoda’s plan

Skoda’s next car is going to be its first EV in the Indian market, the Enyaq. The brand is already testing the car in India. According to our sources, the Enyaq could be launched in the first half of 2024. After that, Skoda will focus on its India-specific ‘Project 2.5’. The first car in this project could be a Compact SUV to take on the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet etc. In this project, we could also see a 7-seater SUV that will sit above the Kushaq in the brand’s portfolio.
