The Hyundai Creta is a compact SUV that has been ruling Indian roads since its launch in 2015. Year-on-year, the Creta continues to scale new highs in the sales chart. The only downfall it experienced was when its new generation was just about to be launched, so people were hoarding their bookings. No other SUV in its segment has been able to achieve the success levels of the Creta. So why do Indians love to buy the Creta? In today’s article, let’s talk about Hyundai Creta 2023.

Design

2020 Hyundai Creta Front

Creta, when launched in 2015, came with a muscular design language. It was loved by everyone for its bold stance and aggressive front design. When the new-gen was launched in 2020, Hyundai completely changed the design. The new Creta had a polarising design. The SUV has a bold front grille, split LED headlamps, silver skid plates, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a contrasting colour for the C-pillar that give it a distinctive and premium look.

Hyundai Creta 2023 – Space

The Creta offers a spacious and comfortable cabin that can accommodate five passengers with ease. The SUV has ample legroom, headroom, and shoulder room for all occupants. Hyundai has also tuned the suspension of the Creta to offer a comfortable ride. The Creta also has a large boot space of 400 litres that can be expanded by folding the rear seats.

Performance

The Creta is powered by two engine options: a 1.5-litre MPI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine. Both engines are RDE-compliant and can run on E20 fuel. The petrol engine produces 113bhp and 143.8Nm of peak torque, while the diesel engine produces 113bhp and 250Nm of torque. The engines are mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or an intelligent variable transmission (IVT) for petrol and a six-speed automatic transmission for diesel. Most of the Creta buyers have only good things to say about the performance. It’s not a particularly sporty car, but does its job quite well. Also, it offers good mileage on both its engine options.

Hyundai Creta 2023 – Features

electric

The Creta kind of started the trend of offering high-end features in the affordable category. So it’s no surprise that the Creta comes with a plethora of features like ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, an air purifier, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, BlueLink connectivity, drive and traction control modes, paddle shifters, all-wheel disc brakes, wireless charger, automatic climate control, cruise control, and electric parking brake with auto hold.
