Tata Nexon DCA confirmed in new spy shots!

Tata Nexon has seen a meteoric rise in sales figures in the last few years. In the last few months, it has topped the SUV sales chart consistently. The sales of Nexon have propelled Tata in competing with Hyundai for the second spot. Tata knows that it will have to continue this momentum if it wants to dethrone Hyundai. For this, Tata is working on the facelifted model of its most popular SUV, the Nexon. Just today, we covered the new interiors, but one point we didn’t touch was the transmission. Now we have got new spy shots confirming the presence of a DCA gearbox. In today’s article, let’s talk about the 2023 Tata Nexon DCA. 

DCA confirmed

Earlier today, we talked about the new Nexon interior, but two important elements were not clearly visible. We now have images showing the proper DCA gearbox with the P symbol marked near the gear lever. AMT cars don’t come with a park button. How do we know it’s a DCA gearbox and not AT/CVT? Tata doesn’t have an in-house AT/CVT in its lineup, so it doesn’t make any sense for the brand to outsource it. Instead, Tata can save costs by introducing the indigenously made DCA gearbox in the Nexon facelift. These new spy shots also confirm the presence of paddle shifters.

Other specifications

The Tata Nexon facelift is also expected to get a performance boost. According to reports, Tata could give the Nexon facelift the new 1.2-litre turbo petrol showcased at the Auto Expo. This engine is capable of producing 123bhp and 225Nm of torque, a significant jump from the current 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. The diesel engine option will continue to be the 1.5-litre unit capable of producing 113bhp and 260Nm of torque. 

2023 Tata Nexon DCA – Launch 

Tata is yet to divulge anything about the Nexon facelift, but the launch seems imminent with the number of times the car has been spotted in recent times. According to rumours, Tata plans to launch the facelift by August 2023.
