The sedan segment in the country has been facing an onslaught from the newer SUVs. A lot of sedan buyers have shifted to SUVs and hatchbacks. Seeing this trend, some manufacturers have given up on this segment. Still, some manufacturers like Honda are in no mood to give up on this segment. Honda is working on the City facelift. The City facelift is expected to come with a plethora of new features. In today’s article, let’s talk about the new Honda City features.

Wireless charging

Wireless charging is quickly becoming a must-have feature in cars. More & more phones are coming equipped with wireless charging features and so car manufacturers have also had to adapt to this change. With wireless charging, you can declutter the cabin of unnecessary cables. All the competition cars offer that we think Honda should also offer in the facelift.

Ventilated seats

Ventilated seats are kind of a must-have feature in our hot & humid climate. If you park in the sun then the cabin feels like a pressure cooker. Sometimes the cars become hot to the point where you can not even sit in them. This is where ventilated seats come into play as they cool the seats. They are also quite convenient on long trips where your back can get sweaty.

New Honda City features – Bigger infotainment

The Honda City currently comes with a 7-inch infotainment system which is nowhere near the competition. And Hyundai will be getting a great new system to the new Verna soon. Honda will need to give the City a 9/10-inch infotainment to take on the competition. Honda should also work on its UI to provide an overall better experience.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)

Safety is quickly becoming a priority in the country, and ADAS is one feature that adds an extra layer of protection. ADAS is a term that collectively includes several features that can prevent accidents. Currently, no car in this segment except Honda’s own City Hybrid comes with ADAS, but the new Verna has been spotted with the ADAS module. So Honda should also offer ADAS in the new City.

New Honda City features – Electronic parking brake

Another convenient feature Honda can offer is the electronic parking brake. With this feature, Honda can also give it auto hold which will add to the overall comfort of driving in traffic.
