Tata Avinya showcased again at the Expo!

Tata is already leading the EV space in the country. Now it wants to continue that momentum and it has given us a glimpse of that vision at the Expo. We have been covering Tata EVs in detail at the Expo, we covered the Harrier EV and the Sierra EV. But Tata also showcased the Avinya. In today’s article, lets talk about the Tata Avinya 2023.

Design

With the Avinya, Tata has taken full creative liberties. The Avinya concept showcases the brand’s Pure EV design. At the front, we have a big grille that is illuminated. Above the grille, we have a DRL design that forms a T design. The side profile consists of sharp creases. As it is a concept, it get cameras that transmit feed into the car. At the rear, we have LED tail lights similar to the front DRLs.

Tata Avinya 2023 – Specifications

The Avinya is based on Tata’s third generation EV architecture. In simpler terms, the Avinya is a ground-up EV built on a skateboard platform. The Curvv Tata revealed eariler is based on second generation EV architecture. Coming back to the Avinya, Tata has said all its third generation vechiles will get atleast 500km range on a single charge.

Interior

The interior of the Avinya concept gets a futuristic look with a plain dashboard laypout paired to ambient lighting running above it. There are no touchscreens in the Avinya – as the company is looking to make these new vehicles all voice controlled. Another highlight is the two-spoke steering with an integrated display. The seats of the Avinya come with integrated speakers in the headrest. Tata has also integrated scent dispensers into the concept.

Tata Avinya 2023 – Launch timeline

The Tata Avinya is expected to see a launch sometime in 2025. Before that, the brand has plans to wrap up the launches of the Curvv, which seems to be almost production ready from what we have seen at the expo.
