Hyundai IONIQ 5 launched! What a price!

Hyundai is focusing heavily on its electric mobility at the Auto Expo 2023. Starting the first day at the Expo with the launching of the much anticipated IONIQ 5. In December, Hyundai unveiled the car and today it has revealed its pricing. In today’s article, let’s talk about the Hyundai IONIQ 5 price. 

Price and variants

Hyundai is only offering the IONIQ 5 in one variant priced at Rs 44.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This is introductory price reserved for the first 500 customers. Hyundai is locally assembling the IONIQ 5 leading to its sub-50 lakh pricing. The IONIQ 5 seems like a great option in this price range. 

Hyundai IONIQ 5 price – Design

The IONIQ 5 is based on the brand’s E-GMP platform, which is a ground-up EV platform. This platform also underpins the Kia EV6 sold in India. Like the EV6, the Ioniq-5 also comes with quite a unique design. Overall the car comes with a modern design given some retro touches. Inside, we see minimalistic interiors with a single-piece infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. 

Specifications

Hyundai is only offering the IONIQ 5 with one single motor, and rear-wheel drive setup. It’s electric motor is capable of producing 214bhp and 350Nm of torque. This motor is paired with a 72.6kWh battery pack with an ARAI claimed range of 631km. The IONIQ 5 also gets superfast 800V charging, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 18 mins. It also gets VTL technology that can help power other electric appliances. 

Hyundai IONIQ 5 price – Features

The IONIQ 5 is one of Hyundai’s flagship models and it gets the flagship treatment in terms of features. It comes with a fully-digital instrument cluster, a premium Bose sound system, and a 12.25-inch infotainment system. The IONIQ 5 also gets level-2 ADAS adding that extra level of safety.
