The EV space is on a roll all over the world. However, this change has been brought about by startups like Tesla and Rivian. Tesla has been especially popular with its Model 3 being a massive hit. Sadly, Tesla is not coming anytime soon to India due to reasons that we have covered in detail in the past (check the story linked below to know that exact reasons). However, don’t get your hopes down as a Tesla rival is expected to debut at the Auto Expo 2023. Which is this Tesla rival? It is Hyundai’s IONIQ 6. In today’s article, lets talk about the Hyundai IONIQ 6 in India.

IONIQ 6?

The IONIQ 6 is Hyundai’s marquee EV that sits above the recently unveiled IONIQ 5. The IONIQ 6 is the production version of the Hyundai Prophecy concept that was showcased at the last Auto Expo held in 2020. As a product, the IONIQ 6 comes with a futuristic design. We get to see fish-eyed headlamp design with retro bits like the IONIQ 5. The side profile has a close resemblance to Porsche cars. Hyundai claims that the IONIQ 6 has a drag coefficient of just 0.21. At the rear, we have an infinite LED taillamp design. In the interiors, we have a simple dashboard layout with a dual-screen layout and a two-spoke steering wheel.
