4 Rs 10 lakh SUV coming soon
SUVs are the hottest body type in our market. People are buying all types of SUVs from compact to full-size ones. However, the SUVs that fall under Rs 10 lakhs still make up a big part of this demand. We already have several options, and we could have several more coming in 2023. In today’s article, let’s talk about this Rs 10 lakh SUV.
Maruti Baleno Cross
Maruti is working on a beefed-up version of the Baleno. This will be quite a unique car with a coupe SUV-like tapering roofline. The car has been spotted several times highlighting its higher ground clearance and tapering roofline. According to reports, it could come with a 1.2-litre BoosterJet engine to match its sporty dynamics. Feature-wise, it will share most of its features with the Baleno. What about the launch? Maruti could unveil the car at the Auto Expo of 2023.
Rs 10 lakh SUV – Honda Compact SUV
Honda recently unveiled the WR-V in Indonesia. The WR-V could be the first proper SUV that Honda will bring to India. It will sit in the compact SUV segment, competing with the likes of Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue etc. Honda’s compact SUV could come with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The second engine could be a 1.0-litre turbo petrol that Honda is developing. What about features? It could come with features like 7.0-inch infotainment, 6-speakers, semi-digital instrument cluster. Globally, it also gets ADAS, which may or may not make it on the Indian version.
Citroen C3 EV
Citroen is working on an electrified version of the C3. Even though the brand categorises the C3 as a hatchback. It still gets that SUV characteristics. Design-wise, the C3 EV will be identical to the ICE-C3 barring some blue highlights. Citroen will also improve the interior and features of the EV version to attract new customers. What about the specifications? The Citroen EV is expected to come with a 30kWh battery that could deliver a real-world range of around 200km. Citroen could unveil the car in the first half of 2023.
Rs 10 lakh SUV – Hyundai Punch Rival
The Sub-compact SUV has been revived by the Tata Punch. Seeing its success other manufacturers like Hyundai are also looking to enter this segment. Hyundai is working on a sub-compact SUV codenamed the ‘Ai3’. This will be a completely new car based on the Grand i10 Nios platform. It will also share its mechanical bits with the Grand i10 Nios. Being a Hyundai, it will surely come loaded with features. Hyundai is expected to unveil this car in the second half of 2023.
