Royal Enfield is one of the most iconic bike manufacturers in the Indian market. Of late, the brand is on an aggressive bike launching spree, with bikes expected in unique segments. Its next bike could rival the Bajaj Dominar 400. So what is this bike? It is the Royal Enfield 450 we are talking about. How will this bike compete with the Dominar? What is this bike?

As mentioned above, we are talking about the Royal Enfield 450. However, there will be two bikes in the 450 lineups. One will be an adventure-focused version, while the second will be a naked version. The naked version will be one that can rival the Bajaj Dominar. The 450 naked has been spotted testing in Europe and from the looks of it looks quite big.

What else do we know?

Royal Enfield is working on several new engine options including the 450cc engine. This engine will help Royal Enfield gap bridge between its 411cc and 650cc engines. According to reports, this engine will be a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine capable of producing 40bhp & 40Nm of torque. What about features? We could expect the 450 naked to come with an instrument cluster similar to the Himalayan 450 and other safety features like dual-channel ABS, Switchable ABS and much more. 

Royal Enfield Dominar competition – Launch timeline

So we have covered almost everything barring the launch details. So when can we expect the 450 twins? Royal Enfield’s most recent launch was the Hunter, and its next expected launch could be a 650cc bike or the new Bullet 350. After that, Royal Enfield might launch the 450 twins in India. That would mostly be in the second half of 2023. What about the pricing? The Twins could be priced somewhere around the Rs 2.70 to Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
