Tata has given a great boost to the EV space in India. It has the early bird advantage in this category that has ensured buyers’ preference for Tata’s electric cars. With a slew of new Tata EVs coming up, it is all set to diversify its electric portfolio. On the other hand, many other brands are in queue to bring in their global products. Citroen Punch EV rival – Why could Punch EV lose its advantage?

Tata Punch EV and Citroen C3 EV are expected to be priced in a similar price bracket. However, Citroen has taken away the advantage that the Punch was expected to enjoy. How? Citroen has officially confirmed that it is unveiling its first EV on 29th September. This will not only give the French automaker to position a unique product in the market before Tata but will also kill another bird with the same stone. Tata’s upcoming Tiago EV along with the Punch EV could witness a strong competitor. However, as Tata’s EVs are tried and tested with its Ziptron tech, there are high chances of people being more inclined more towards them.

More about the Citroen C3 EV

Citroen will unveil its first EV on September 29. This wouldn’t be a new EV from scratch, but most likely an EV counterpart of the C3. Talking more about the car, it would be based on the e-CMP architecture which is already adopted by other cars from the PSA group. Citroen is touted to offer a claimed range of around 300kms. Identifying the segment and looking at its specifications, Citroen is offering its first EV. Right pricing would be a key for the brand to make a big mark.
