Mahindra has worked extensively in recent years to establish itself as a very reputable brand. The company has made itself match the global standards and has launched some great cars over time. Cars like Mahindra XUV700 & Scorpio N have brought eye-popping record sales for the company. Now, with new ambitions in the EV segment, the brand recently revealed its Born Electric cars. From EVs to SUVs, it has some new cars planned for the market. So, let’s take a look at some new Mahindra cars that will be hitting the market in the coming months.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus

Mahindra is expected to bring back the TUV300 Plus with a new nameplate. It will be named Bolero Neo Plus and will take styling & body design inspiration from the Bolero Neo. The Bolero Neo Plus, along with a bigger exterior will house the third row with 4-seater capacity for completing the 9-seater setup. The Bolero Neo Plus would be bigger than the Bolero Neo by 400mm (length) and 40mm (width). This SUV could retain the 2.2-litre mHaWk diesel engine generating 118bhp & 280Nm of torque. It could be the most affordable 9-seater ladder-on-frame SUV after its launch. This SUV is mostly expected to see a launch sometime next year.

Scheduled to be launched on 6th September, Mahindra is all set to take on the Tata Nexon EV & MG ZS EV with this car. Mahindra XUV400 is going to be a fully-electric car which will measure 4.2-metres in length. This EV would be based on the original SsangYong Tivoli platform. Mahindra is expected to give this EV a long list of features including connected car tech, wireless charging, ambient lighting, ADAS and more. Moreover, there are only speculations about the range and battery numbers but we are expecting segment-leading range figures with this EV. Pricing is expected to fall around the Rs 18 lakh mark (ex-showroom).

Mahindra XUV300 Sportz

New Mahindra cars

Mahindra is expected to bring a more feisty version of the XUV300. Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, the Sportz variant is likely to get Sportz livery on the exterior. In addition, it could get sport vinyl, red brake calipers, and some red color inserts on the AC vents and other interior panels of the car. However, mechanically is where the real magic would be. This variant is touted to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with direct injection and overboost technology, churning out 128bhp & 230Nm of torque.

However, if latest media reports are to be believed, the complete setup would, instead being put on show for a special variant, power the XUV300 facelift. However, we have to wait for further confirmation for a clear idea.

The eKUV100 was a highly anticipated product for the market. However, this product was lost. We haven’t heard this EV for quite some time now. The last was its presence on the NEMO Utility App and some test car spottings. However, Mahindra has been planning a battery-powered KUV100, therefore the name eKUV100. Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020, Mahindra had given us some details about the powertrain options of the car. It is expected to come with a 15.9kWh battery pack that could return a range of around 150kms. There were earlier reports indicating that this EV might launch by the end of this year, however, with no further confirmation from the brand, nothing can be confirmed as of now.
