Hyundai’s constant determination to update the Creta has made the car very successful in its segment. With the launch of trendsetting products from other brands, Creta’s dominance has always been in danger. Therefore to maintain its popularity, Hyundai is planning to bring the Creta facelift to the Indian market. The Creta facelift is expected to have even more features and a new bi-fuel option too. Yes, you read it right. For those who were looking for a CNG SUV, Hyundai might launch the new facelifted Creta with a factory-fitted CNG option. So, let’s discuss in detail, the new Hyundai Creta facelift and the possibility of the CNG option.

Hyundai has already launched the facelifted version of the Creta in some global markets. Like every other product, this new facelift is varied for different markets in terms of features and design. However, India is subjected to getting the Asian facelifted version which is seen in the Indonesian markets.

This facelift wears the new design language from Hyundai inspired by the new Tucson. On the front, we can see a similar grille with an integrated LED DRL setup like the Tucson. The headlamp placement of the car is positioned slightly lower. Apart from that, new bumpers, new alloys, etc. are present.

Features & specifications

Creta was always loaded in terms of technology and features. This new facelift would continue the trend by offering additional gizmos. We are expecting it to get add-ons such as ADAS, 360-degree parking camera, digital instrument cluster, multi-colour ambient lighting and more.

There would be no change in terms of engine and gearbox options but we can expect a CNG kit. Hyundai could bring CNG mated to the 1.5-litre petrol engine option that generates 113bhp & 144Nm of torque. Power figures could possibly see a dip due to CNG which is prominent in every CNG car. The gearbox option is expected to be limited to a 5-speed manual unit for the CNG variants. With that being said, there is no confirmation of the CNG variant from Hyundai but we can expect it, given the rising prices of fuel.

Hyundai Creta CNGLaunch & Pricing

Earlier it was rife that the facelift would be launching in the festive season of this year but now we are expecting this car in the first half of 2023. The addition of new features and safety tech like ADAS would surely mount the prices of the new Creta. Moreover, if Creta is to get a CNG kit then a rise of a lakh rupees is highly likely over the petrol-only model.  We are expecting the prices to be in the range of Rs 11 lakh to Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom).
