Volkswagen India has silently upgraded the infotainment system in the MY 2016 Jetta. Now, the Jetta gets a new touchscreen infotainment system, similar to the one introduced in the all-new Beetle which was launched a few months ago.

The new system includes a touchscreen display with a better user interface, a single CD player, SD card reader, AUX-in, USB & Bluetooth connectivity. Also, the system displays the parking guidelines however misses out on the reverse camera. The speaker configuration remains the same it gets a total of 4 speakers + 4 tweeters.

It is also rumoured that the new Volkswagen Ameo is to be equipped with a new infotainment system. We’ll have to wait and see whether VW’s new compact sedan will be equipped with the same infotainment system as its INR 20 lakh+ elder sibling.

With the battle heating up amongst car manufactures, we would not be surprised if this also gets carried across their range of Polo and the Vento soon.
