It is no secret that Maruti will be launching the Brezza on the 30th of June. This new Brezza will get a new design and new features. But in today’s article, we aren’t talking about Brezza. We are going to talk about its badge-engineered cousin, the Toyota Urban Cruiser. So what will the Urban Cruiser get over the Brezza? In today’s article, let’s find out.

New Toyota Urban Cruiser – Design

New Toyota Urban Cruiser

We are already quite aware of the design of the new Maruti Brezza. So will there be any difference on the Urban Cruiser? Yes, we expect the Toyota Urban Cruiser to get some subtle design changes. It will get a different grille and tweaked headlamps. Other changes could include more chrome inserts and different skid plates. At the rear, we can expect slightly tweaked tail lamps as well.

Features

The new Maruti Brezza is set to come with a lot of new features. The same features will be copy-pasted on the Toyota Urban Cruiser. Can Toyota add some more features to the Urban Cruiser? We don’t expect that to happen. A different upholstery can however be expected.

Same specifications

The Urban Cruiser will retain the same engine options as the Brezza. So it will also come with a 1.5-litre DualJet petrol engine that powers the Maruti Ertiga, XL6. This engine is capable of producing 103bhp & 137Nm of torque. So what is so special? This engine will come with a mild-hybrid setup to improve efficiency. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox option.

New Toyota Urban Cruiser – Launch and pricing

New Toyota Urban Cruiser

Toyota is yet to confirm anything about the new Urban Cruiser. But like the Glanza, we expect the Urban Cruiser to follow soon after the Brezza launch. What about the pricing? Generally, Toyota charges a slight premium of Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 on its cars. So we can expect the same with the new Urban Cruiser as well.
