Hyundai Fortuner competition coming soon
The seven-seater segment has seen a lot of new launches in the past few days. But none of these launches has targeted the Fortuner territory. It is quite surprising that the Fortuner continues to remain unchallenged. But this is going to change with the upcoming Jeep Meridian. Now there are rumours that Hyundai might bring the long-wheelbase of the Tucson in a 7-seater configuration to enter this segment. Hyundai Fortuner competition- Design
The long-wheelbase Tucson will feature Hyundai’s new parametric dynamics philosophy. So it will come with DRLs integrated into the grille. The side profile will get that bulky look due to the added row. It will also get a lot of sharp lines, giving it a modern look. Other exterior features will include new alloys and a lot of chrome.
Specifications
This long-wheelbase of the Tucson will come with the same engine options as the normal Tucson. So it will come with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Hyundai might give them better tuning to improve performance. Both engines will come with automatic and manual options. It will also get a 4WD variant.

Hyundai will load the Tucson with all sorts of features. It will mostly get Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to assist the driver. Other comfort features could include multiple airbags, digital instrument clusters, paddle shifters, ISOFIX, wireless charging in the second row and much more.

Hyundai has not confirmed anything regarding the launch of Tucson. But Hyundai is testing the new Tucson in India. There are rumours that Hyundai might bring the long-wheelbase version of Tucson. This long-wheelbase Tucson will come with a seven-seater configuration. It will help Hyundai take on the premium seven-seater segment.
