Maruti to give powerful engines to these two cars

Maruti is very well-known for its refined and fuel-efficient engines. Moreover, they come in at an affordable pricing when compared to their rivals. Now, Maruti, along with fuel-efficiency is also focusing on putting out good power figures with their cars. The brand is soon set to offer some of its cars with powerful engines. In this article, we have listed two cars by Maruti to get these powerful engine options.

Maruti Ignis

Maruti Ignis was launched back in 2017. It also got a cosmetic update in 2020. It used to get a 1.2-litre petrol engine that made 82bhp & 113Nm of torque. Now, it might also get a significant update in 2022. Although nothing is confirmed, but we might get to see features like improved connected car tech, new 9.0-inch SmartPro Play Plus touchscreen infotainment system ,etc.

It is now expected to run on the new 1.2-litre Dual Jet K12N petrol engine. This engine would make 89bhp & 113Nm of torque, driven by a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT automatic gearbox. It will make 7bhp more than the current generation.

Powerful upcoming Maruti cars – Maruti S-Presso

Maruti S-Presso is a compact and tall car. It is a mini crossover of an SUV and a hatchback. It stands out due to its funky looks. Currently, it gets a 1.0-litre K-10 engine that puts out 58bhp & 78Nm of torque. It is also available in the CNG option. Now, we might see the engine get updated in this car.

It will now get the 1.0-litre DualJet K10C petrol engine. This engine will put out 66bhp & 89Nm of torque. We see this engine on the new Celerio. It also gives good mileage figure and turns out to be the most fuel-efficient car in India.
