What is Mahindra’s plan with the XUV300?
Mahindra XUV300 was one of the first compact SUVs to put out a strong foot in the country in terms of safety. The XUV300 even entered the segment with multiple segment-first features. Not just these, the car even has the longest wheelbase in the segment which translates into a spacious cabin. However, it has been three years since the car launched and we expect Mahindra to update this car soon in the coming time. In this article, we have discussed the updates on that the Mahindra XUV300 facelift could come with.
Design
The Mahindra XUV300 is a muscular and handsome-looking compact SUV. The second-row of this car is the most spacious and widest in this segment. Three people can be comfortably seated in the second-row. In terms of updates, Mahindra might bring in some slight changes to the design to give the car a fresh appeal. Reworked headlamps & tail lamps, new bumpers and new alloy wheels could be some of the significant changes. New colour options could also be added. Since it will be a facelift, no changes in dimensions are expected.
Interior and Features
The Mahindra XUV300 needs a massive update when it comes to interior. The dashboard feels outdated when compared to its rivals. Since the Mahindra XUV700 is one of the most feature-rich cars in its segment today, we expect that the XUV300 facelift update might also get a bunch of modern features. Features like a big infotainment system, ADAS, a fully-digital instrument cluster, etc might be added. We also expect to see a completely new dashboard on the XUV300.
Mahindra XUV300 facelift – Specifications
Mahindra is working on a new engine for the XUV300. So, the XUV300 facelift is expected to debut with Mahindra’s new 1.2-litre mStallian turbo-petrol engine that would make 128bhp & 230Nm of torque.This engine would make the XUV300 the most power-producing compact SUV.
Mahindra XUV300 facelift – Launch
Although we do not have any confirmation regarding the Mahindra XUV300’s facelift launch, we expect Mahindra to be working on one. As far as launch dates are concerned, we are not sure if Mahindra will be launching the facelift this year.
