Want good second-row space? AVOID these cars!
Cabin space and comfort is one of the most crucial aspects considered while buying a new car. In short, a spacious cabin adds to the comforts. Some buyers do require more space in the second row of the car but many cars fail to offer enough space in their second row these days. So, in this article, we have listed the cars with not-so good second-row space which buyers should avoid if they plan to seat atleast three occupants in the second row.
Kia Sonet
Kia Sonet is one of the feature-rich compact SUVs in its segment. It does excel in other departments but takes a beating in the rear seat space. Only two people can be seated comfortably and the third person would have to struggle in order to fit. The shoulder room and the overall width are not enough for three. Only kids can be seated in the middle.
Cars with good second-row – Hyundai Verna
Hyundai Verna is a mid-sized sedan. Being a sedan, you might think that it would have good space in its second-row but the space here is very minimal. Three people cannot sit in comfortably. The floorboard even has a hump, adding to the inconvenience. So, avoid considering this car if you plan to seat five people.
Skoda Kushaq
Skoda Kushaq although being a C-segment SUV is not spacious when it comes to its second row. The Kushaq and Taigun are built on the same platform. Three people cannot be seated comfortably in the second row of both these cars. The shoulder room is not enough. Its main competitors like the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos do offer good rear seat space. You can however consider this car if four people use the car frequently.
Cars with good second-row – Jeep Compass
Jeep Compass is a feature-loaded SUV in its segment. But although being a mid-size SUV, it has got very less space in its second-row. Two people can sit here comfortably but there would be an issue for the third one. The person sitting in the middle might have to struggle for shoulder room. Kids however might be comfortable over here.
MG Astor
MG Astor is the latest in the C-SUV segment. It comes loaded with features with its strongest point being the personal AI assistant and ADAS (level-2). Talking about the space, it has got very less space in its second-row. Only two people might sit comfortably in the second row.
