Tata Zica to be launched on 20th January

Tata Motors will be launching its much awaited hatchback, Zica, on 20th January. The launch is in line with Tata Motor’s plan of a pre-Auto Expo launch, as indicated earlier.

The Zica is the most important launch for Tata as this car will define the progress made by the company in terms of car design and re-establishing itself as a world-class manufacturer of passenger cars. The Zica comes with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that produces 84bhp of power.  and a 1.05-litre 3-cylinder Revotorq diesel unit producing 69bhp. Theses engines are mate dot a five-speed manual gearbox. An AMT version is also on the cards, however it will be introduced later.

The Zica is a fairly well equipped car with features like Airbags, ABS, eight-speaker Harman audio system with bluetooth and navigation, detailed multi-information display and steering mounted audio controls. The hatchback will also set a benchmark in its segment when it comes to ride quality.

While bringing some amount of freshness in the hatchback segment, the Zica will compete mainly with the Maruti Celerio and the Hyundai Grand i10.
