Pagani decided to welcome the New Year with a tease. The exotic car manufacturer let out an image of its much awaited hard-core edition of the Huayra. Rumoured to be called the Huayra S, the hyper-car in the image released gives fans a full view of that glorious fixed wing in all its carbon-fibre glory. Also seen in the teaser image is an aggressive take on the rear diffuser which, needless to say, should generate insane levels of down-force.

The car in the teaser image is the same one seen doing the rounds of racetracks over the past year.

The test-mule also sports custom side skirting along with a more aggressively designed splitter at the front.

Pagani is leaving no stone unturned in its attempt to establish the Huayra S’ supremacy out on the race-track.

Helping things in that department would be the AMG sourced 6.0 litre V12 engine that also powers the regular version. Needless to say, Pagani will make sure that the engine receives the attention it deserves, to make it worthy of being plonked into the engine bay of the Huayra S.

With a production run limited to a mere 20 units, as confirmed by their founder, Horacio Pagani at the Geneva Motor Show last year, the Huayra S should make the soon to be launched Bugatti Chiron seem like a mass-market hyper-car! But if you’re dreaming of laying your hands on one, then having a near endless supply and ready access to the racetrack won’t be enough. As you see, Pagani will only sell the Huayra S to existing owners of the regular edition of the Huayra. The world’s quite unfair isn’t it!
