This foreign SUV to compete with Safari & XUV700

After the success of MG, many other Chinese carmakers are planning to expand in India. Changan and Haval are at the top of this list of carmakers. Haval is owned by Great Wall Motors, which is based in China.  Haval might bring in their second-generation H6 to India. In this article, we will discuss what the Haval H6 has to offer.

Haval H6 Design

The Haval H6 is a mid-sized SUV that shares a lot of design cues with the Haval H9 full-size SUV. LED projector headlamps with DRL, a hexagonal radiator grille, multi-spoke machined alloy wheels, body cladding, and LED stop lamps are some of the prominent features of the Haval H6.

Specifications

The second-generation Haval H6 is placed in the mid-sized SUV segment. The H6 is 4610mm in length, 1860mm in width, 1720mm in height with a wheelbase of 2690mm, and ground clearance of 161mm. The Haval H6 is offered with two engine options- a 1.5-litre T-GDI engine that produces 161bhp and 280Nm of torque. While the 2.0-litre T-GDI engine produces 188bhp and 340Nm of torque. Both these engines come mated to a seven-speed DCT gearbox.

Features

The Haval H6 comes loaded with features like a 9.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, cruise control. The Haval H6 also gets ADAS level 2 autonomous drive assist features and a 360-degree camera. This SUV also gets a fully digital instrument cluster.

Price and Launch

The Haval H6 is expected to be priced around Rs 15 Lakh to Rs 20 Lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV is expected to be launched in 2022. Once launched, the Haval H6 will be competing with other popular SUVs from the segment like the MG Hector, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700.
