Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

The next on the list is another popular hatchback that has ruled the hearts of Indian car buyers for years. The Maruti Suzuki Swift is the second-highest selling car from the brand with 1,75,052 units being sold during 2021. This sporty hatchback from Maruti gets a DualJet Dual VVT engine with idle start-stop function. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 89bhp & 113Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual & AMT gearbox. The Swift is loved for its unique and sporty design. The price of the Maruti Suzuki Swift starts from Rs 6.96 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
The third car to make it to the top five best-selling car’s list was the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. This premium hatchback sold 1,72,237 units in the year 2021. The car is very popular amongst car enthusiasts. The Baleno gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine in two states of tune standard and dual-jet. A standard 1.2-litre produces 82bhp and 113Nm of torque while the Dual-Jet produces 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. These engines are offered with a five-speed manual and automatic (CVT) gearboxes. The price of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno starts from Rs 7.24 lakh and goes up to Rs 11.30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
Maruti Suzuki Alto
The fourth car on the list of top five selling cars of 2021 is Maruti Suzuki Alto, where 1,66,233 units were sold during the year. The car has been around for many years. The Alto has successfully replaced the iconic Maruti 800 and brings in good sales for the brand on a consistent basis. The Maruti Alto has undoubtedly been the preferred choice of many first-time car buyers. The car is affordable, easy to maintain, and offers a hassle-free ownership experience. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
The last car on the list of top five selling cars of 2021 is the ever-popular MPV from Maruti. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is an unchallenged contender in the MPV segment. The Ertiga was able to sell 1,54,310 units during 2021. This is a spacious MPV with three rows of seating offered along with a boot space of 209-litres. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 103bhp & 138Nm of torque paired to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is also offered in a CNG variant. The price of the Ertiga starts from Rs 9.54 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.93 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
