Yezdi just launched its adventure cum touring bike the Adventure on 13th January 2022. This launch has caused a stir in the adventure and touring segment of the Indian motorcycle market. The segment had the Himalayan from Royal Enfield, and KTM had its own Adventure 250 and 390. Royal Enfield Himalayan is the closest competition to the newly launched Yezdi Adventure. Let’s dive in to know more about what these two bikes can do on the tarmac and off-road.

The design and styling of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Yezdi Adventure look similar. There are some striking similarities when you look at both these bikes side by side. Yet when you observe them closely they do have their own identities. The Royal Enfield Himalayan looks aggressive and tall while the Yezdi Adventure looks muscular and assertive. The Yezdi adventure comes equipped with high-placed mudguard and knuckle guards that protect the rider from flying debris or pebbles while off-roading. While for the Himalayan you have to buy knuckle guards as after-market accessories.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a 411cc BS6 compliant engine which generates 24.31bhp and 31 Nm of torque. The Himalayan gets both front and rear disc brakes, with the anti-locking braking system. This Himalayan bike weighs 199 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres. The Yezdi Adventure gets a 334cc BS6 compliant engine which churns out a power of 30.2bhp and 29.9Nm of torque. The Yezdi Adventure also gets both front and rear disc brakes, along with dual-channel ABS by Continental. This Yezdi Adventure weighs 188 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15.5 litres.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a wheelbase of 1465mm and a ground clearance of 220mm. The Yezdi Adventure gets a wheelbase of 1465mm and ground clearance of 220mm which is almost the same as the Himalayan. The Himalayan gets a 90/90 21-inch tyre with a 300mm disc brake in front and a 120/90 17-inch tyre with a 240mm disc brake at the rear with spoked wheels. The Yezdi bike gets a 90/90 21-inch tyre with 320mm disc brake in front and a 130/80 17-inch tyre with 240mm disc brake at the rear.

Features

The Royal Enfield Himalayan gets a halogen headlight and LED tail lamp. While the Yezdi bike gets all-LED headlights, turn indicators, and tail lamp. The instrument cluster of the Himalayan is semi-digital with the odometer and trip meter being digital while the speedometer and tachometer being analog. The Yezdi Adventure gets a fully digital TFT display with a gear indicator, a side-stand indicator, clock, distance to empty, and average fuel economy. The bike also gets Bluetooth connectivity and a turn-by-turn navigation system. The bike also gets three riding modes- Road, Rain, and Off-road.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan sells at Rs 2,14,887 (ex-showroom) while the Yezdi Adventure sells at 209,900 (ex-showroom), making the Yezdi Adventure a little more affordable.
