This engine is offered in two states of tune that produces 120bhp & 280Nm of torque mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and the other produces 140bhp & 319 Nm of torque mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The engine on the Mahindra Scorpio is more powerful than Hyundai Creta. Also, the Scorpio is a rear-wheel-drive SUV and therefore offers better grip and stability while driving.

The Hyundai Creta is 4300mm in length, 1790mm in width, 1635mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2610mm and ground clearance of 190mm. The Creta is a five-seater that is decently spacious and offers a boot space of 433-litres.

The Mahindra Scorpio is a bit longer at 4456mm, wider at 1820mm, and taller at 1995mm when compared to Hyundai Creta. The Scorpio gets a longer wheelbase at 2680mm and better ground clearance at 209mm. The Mahindra Scorpio is a seven-seater with a boot space of 460-litres. In terms of cabin space, legroom, knee room, and headroom, the Scorpio emerges as a winner.

Currently, Mahindra dealerships are crowded with buyers looking for either XUV700 or the Thar. These cars have a waiting period of almost a year. However, cars like the Mahindra Scorpio are available at a lower waiting period. At the same time, a new-generation Scorpio is about to get launched next year.
