Rs 15 lakhs is a sweet segment where many people in India buy their car. But there is a lot of confusion over here as there is a huge number of cars. This price range has various segments of cars like premium hatchbacks, sub-four-metre compact SUVs, compact SUVs, MPVs, mid-sized sedans and electric vehicles as well. Here is a list of the best car in each segment you can buy at Rs 15 lakhs.

Hatchback – Maruti Baleno

Suzuki Baleno is the top-selling premium hatchback in India. It is a spacious and comfortable car. The Baleno offers a great value-for-money package. Compact SUV is the most crowded segment in India. Out of the various options, the Tata Nexon is one of the most practical compact SUVs. It is one of the safest cars in its segment as well. We get an 8.0-inch infotainment system with four speakers & two tweeters and wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. The VXi variant is offered with factory-fitted CNG kits as well.

The Tigor EV is rated four-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests. It is driven by a 55kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with a liquid-cooled thermal management system. This motor makes power figures of 74bhp & 170Nm of torque. The battery pack here used a 26kWh Lithium-ion battery pack. It charges from 0% to 80% in 8 hours 45 minutes with a regular 15A plug and with a 25 kW fast DC charge, it charges from 0% to 80% in 65 minutes. You can expect a real-world range of close to 200km.
